We have spent four wonderful days in Auckland with twenty-three of our Year 13 students exploring city life, connecting with tertiary institutions, and visiting places of interest to us.
Our Year 13 students missed out on their Year 12 camp last year due to lockdown, so we offered them the opportunity to go this year.
Some of the places they visited were: Manukau Institute of Technology, AUT, Auckland University, School of Tourism Make Up and Effects, Sky Tower, Auckland Museum, Britomart, Devonport, Takapuna and Auckland Port. We bumped into our Tertio Loco for 2020, Minette Cabbigatt who was eating lunch up at the Sky tower, on break from her studies at Auckland Uni.
For many, it was their first time ice skating,
They quickly got the hang of it, even after a few falls. It was awesome seeing them help each other.
The Amazing Race really opened their eyes to city life. Some adjusted and did well, and some not so well hahaha
Thank you to Ms Bird, Mrs Putoko and Mr Jowett for their help and support on a very successful Year 13 camp, and a special thank you to our Year 13 students who were outstanding leaders and ambassadors for our school.
