Lakes

At our school, students are proudly placed into one of four house groups, each named after significant local lakes that reflect the natural beauty and heritage of our region.

Our houses are:

• Whakamaru (Yellow)
• Ohakuri (Green)
• Maraetai (Red)
• Arapuni (Blue)

Each house is made up of students from all year levels, creating a strong sense of belonging, connection, and whānau across the school.

Throughout the year, houses compete in a range of fun and engaging events, including sports, cultural activities, and special assemblies. These competitions encourage teamwork, participation, and school spirit, while also giving students the opportunity to earn points for their house.

House events are a highlight of school life, bringing energy, excitement, and a sense of friendly rivalry to our community. Whether it’s on the sports field, in the classroom, or at assemblies, our house system helps build pride, leadership, and lasting memories for all students.
